“Warrior, It’s Time You Found The Source Of Your Lost Power” – Dennis Simsek

Dennis Simsek here, the host of The Anxiety Guy podcast and popular YouTube channel. The Anxiety Guy Podcast is a top ranked self-help show where I share my knowledge and experience on the causes of anxiety, as well as the best options for people going through these life challenges. The podcast was awarded Best Of iTunes in the health category because of my passionate commitment to help guide people from a life of coping with the daily challenges they face, to defying their fears once and for all.

Why I chose to become a hypnotherapist, spiritual development, CBT and NLP Coach rather than therapist/counselor: I realized that anxiety coaching was a very intimate partnership between the coach and individual which was mainly focused on the journey of someone’s life direction.

Anxiety coaching is a holistic/action based approach, it’s not talk therapy. I preferred this method because in my eyes it produced results much faster than anything I’ve ever encountered in my own recovery. In my anxiety recovery programs we use a host of proven modalities in a simple to apply way so that anxiety recovery can be as linear as possible.

“Life Coaching is Certainly Not Clinical Counseling. It’s An Outcome Focused Approach That Inspires And Mentors People Towards Amazing Results.” – Dennis Simsek

Fear To Freedom

Remember that some failure is part of every journey, and on The Anxiety Guy podcast it’s my commitment to showing you how you can go from looking at the world as a dangerous place, to feeling a sense of calm and gratitude each and everyday as you create awareness around the main causes of anxiety for you.

The Anxiety Guy - Dennis SimsekFor a very long time I felt I was doomed to live a life full of health anxiety and avoidance, avoiding people due to the fear of a long conversation that would trigger panicky bodily sensations, avoiding crowded or confined places because of a fear of intense dizziness and a visit to the emergency room, and avoidance of going for walks in public due to the feelings of depersonalization and derealization.

As I look back now it feels as if dealing with anxiety was another lifetime ago. It saddens me that others are living the way I used to live without the correct guidance from doctors, friends and loved ones, but all that changes today!

My Inspirational Anxiety Disorder Success Story

My name is Dennis Simsek and for 6 years during my mid 20’s to early 30’s I Dennis Simsekwas overwhelmed with chronic anxiety. I lost great relationships with people due to my increasing anxiety levels during social interactions, and my fears of being judged wrongly by people. I went completely broke and in debt due to the limited time I could put into my career as a professional tennis player and teaching pro.

During that time I also found out I had a child on the way. It happened during a full blown panic attack that felt more like a heart attack coming on, which led me to the emergency hospital bed (very common part of my life back then). That again should have been an incredible moment in my life but the timing couldn’t be worse due to dealing with anxiety. This experience would just add to the “what if” questions I had about being the father I knew I had to be.

“I had exactly 36 different pills, powders, and herbs relating to my health anxiety…

in my cabinet, not to mention the thousands of dollars I spent looking for anxiety treatment and the causes of anxiety. But none of them worked even though I put great effort into all of them.

Anxiety medications for stress and worryI was only moments from taking my life one night sitting in my vehicle, coping with anxiety and completely intoxicated. Alcohol was a mini vacation for me from the effects of my chronic anxiety. Thankfully I didn’t follow through with my plan to end it all… but there was no sign of change in the near future, and I continued to try and look for something external that could quickly change my anxious state around. I needed a method to get my calm and grateful life back that was now a distant memory due to this chronic anxiety.

Thankfully I was able to get to the point of “no return.” I made a decision that would turn my chronic anxiety around and started to investigate reasons for why things weren’t changing in my life, and what needed to be done differently. I needed to find the proper anxiety treatment for my debilitating hypochondria and panic attacks.

“I took a new action based coaching approach to anxiety and my life began to change fast”

Immediately I was able to apply what I learned to every aspect of my life, and the rewards followed quickly. I followed a step by step fear desensitization plan that I’ve outlined in the end the anxiety program that enabled me to naturally turn my fear into freedom.  Also a ‘Systematic’ process which completely desensitized me from my phobias at the time which were elevators, driving even short distances, Agoraphobia (trapping myself at home) and even the fear of flying.

Due to these rapid positive changes in my life I was able to reach my highest tennis ranking as a professional tennis player. I no longer played the sport I loved so much with chronic anxiety and panic attacks constantly in the background. Also on a more important note I’m now the friend, partner, and father I’ve always dreamed of being.

My name is Dennis Simsek and my life’s purpose now is to reveal the causes and solutions of anxiety for you personally that you may not be recognizing, and to help take you from a life of just coping with anxiety, to dealing with anxiety at the root through the #1 anxiety recovery programs online

Your story is very inspirational. I suffer from some of the issues you did but not to the same degree. I find it worse when I isolate myself in my apartment, afraid to go out by myself and try new things or simply do the things i use to do. Although my mental health consists more than anxiety problems, it hinders part of my recovery. I believe very much in recovery and am on my own journey, growing and overcoming my symptoms of BPD and Bipolar Disorder, all in good time. Thank you for sharing your story. Great website!

    • Thanks for sharing your own story Chantal and I wish you a full recovery soon, I’m sure some of the suggestions here will be useful.

I’ve looked over this blog a bit and I just wanted to say how thrilled I am that people like you exist.
Although some of your posts do not reach in me the same way as others and I disagree with a few of the thoughts expressed in them, in general, I think this is a wonderful blog and a wonderful way to explain to people that, *Yes, I am mentally ill, No I’m not medicated, No, I am not making it worse on myself.*

    • Thanks for your valuable input Nikki, I see a big change in peoples perspective just by knowing and speaking to people who have overcome the same things that they may feel is impossible at the moment. Chronic anxiety and panic attacks are no way to go through life and i’m glad people are making changes through the program and this blog. Thanks again Nikki for your awesome input.

Thanks for sharing and being real about a topic that needs to be discussed more!

    • Candice you’re truly correct, it’s very much in the background in the world but I believe through success stories such as mine and others people will believe in natural treatments more and more. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Well done, Dennis. You are the real deal.

  6. Thanks for the like =)

  7. This is an amazing story and it goes to show just how much we can accomplish when we start thinking outside the realm of modern medicine and start living healthier lives.

  8. I suffer from extreme panic attacks and it is causing depression and anxiety issues for me. I have trouble sleeping because of it and my social life life is terribly lonely. Do you think your methods can help me?

    • My program (website being reconstructed) is a true solution for anxiety sufferers Sarah. I’ve made it a mainly audio program so it’s easy to listen and apply. It’s proven to work over and over and many past sufferers can attest to this. In a week and a half I first would like to give you the 21 most asked questions I get about anxiety Sarah, this is a great place to start before you purchase anything online, even my program so hang tight, follow and updates will come.

Hi Barry, listen from the bottom of my heart I’m thrilled that you are embarking on a journey to conquer this condition through CBT. Reason being, I see these ‘miracles’ in people changing their overall state quickly through this process in the end the anxiety program. I would really recommend grabbing Marie Gardiner’s relaxation with physical anchor audio through the main site, because there is nothing that works better to recondition a feeling of calm just before sleep then this. Other then that keeping understand and applying the blog posts I posts because they truly are gold for anyone with this condition. Lastly, make sure you take a few moments to think about your interests. Something you’ve put aside due to your anxiety, that you can turn into a hobby. This is key to occupy your mind, an get back to unleashing your true inner passions. Big man hug from me to you Barry, take care and keep us updated please.

  15. Demi Marshall Nov 4, 2014

It is a relief to know that somebody has came back strong from being so low, the last month or two my anxiety seems to be taking over and I am finding it very hard to cope and get myself back on track. It’s causing me to be distant from the ones I love the most because I can’t connect myself to things properly because my head is elsewhere. I am looking through your blog to try and find a new way of thinking to help myself! I’m really happy I came across this. Demi.

    • Demi if you ever need an experienced nudge in the right direction, don’t hesitate to contact me 🙂

I just finished your book and I think it is going to help a lot of people suffering from anxiety and panic attacks. I suffered from panic attacks in my late 20’s and I am still on several medication which I can not quit taking. The doctor’s said the medicines were “non habit forming”. They forgot to mention the brain zaps I get when I quit the medication.
I hope people will read your book and possibly avoid years of medication.

It’s wonderful for you to share your success story with everyone, Anxiety Guy. You are a leading example for those who are struggling with their lives, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. You shouldn’t give up on something just because it isn’t easy!

  18. What a great story. I know someone close to me that has anxiety and can relate to what you have been going through to some degree. Great post and a success story that should be shared with everyone.

  19. Jim H. Dec 1, 2014

Thanks for sharing your success story, Dennis. It is one that should be shared with everyone that does not think they can get over it.

    • Thanks for the kind words Jim. The story is definitely gaining some ground and more and more people are believing that this can be done naturally.

  20. I was thinking the same thing. You beat the anxiety on your own which is more than many can say. It proves that it can be done without medication which is what doctors are so quick to prescribe.

  21. Ben Lee Dec 2, 2014

Thank you for sharing your story. I am a sufferer of anxiety and panic attacks, I often have to excuse myself from parties and be alone for a little while. It’s great to hear from people who have overcome their obstacles. I hope I can make it as far as you someday.

    • Hope will probably keeo you in the same spot Ben, inspired action will get you to where you want to go.

  22. Monica Dec 2, 2014

    Monica 🙂

  23. Hi Dani, and congrats on starting your blogging journey! One good inspirational success story can change the way people look at their anxiety, and i’m grateful for you to be able to share your journey with others. Anxiety truly is a con artist, but through the proper consciousness and support, I truly have seen ‘miracles’ happen daily, and i’m sure you’re headed in the right direction as well. I will most definitely take a look at your blog, and offer my advice very soon.

  24. Anxiety can be a tough one to shake. What surprises many is that it can affect anyone, for any number of reasons. The one that always surprises me is when you have a pro athlete or a movie star that has it. We just never think of celebs or pro athletes like that because they are always in front of people, but as I said, it can affect anyone. Good story!

  25. Dylan H. Jan 31, 2015

Great story! Good luck to you! What many people need to realize, as well, is that anxiety can come in many forms. You might have general anxiety or social anxiety and both come with their own set of symptoms.
