You’re born with only two fears; The fear of loud noises and the fear of falling, everything else you learned on planet earth. Growing up you may have inherited many of the same values and beliefs from your parents, and other authority figures. With repetition you cemented those beliefs, and created blind spots to anything that went against those.
That’s why it’s crucial that we question our thoughts, core beliefs, and behaviours to see if they truly promote fulfillment
There is no doubt about the fact that we live in troubling and uncertain times and this can prevent us from achieving clarity and excellent mental health. There is constant talk of war, perennial threat of terrorist attacks, sleazy politics and corrupt politicians, an economy that works only for the rich and powerful, widespread discontent, ravages wrecked by floods, earthquakes, and other natural calamities caused by climate change.
It is very difficult to stay sane in the middle of such developments that provoke and incite anxiety!

We have to engage in physical and mental activities to ensure that anxiety and clear and present mental health is kept at manageable levels for our continued functioning, and for proper rational response in the future when we are suddenly faced with crisis.
