5 Powerful Nootropics For Social Anxiety

September 2, 2017

NooTropics for social anxiety can help tremendously.

Social anxiety is a top mental disorder in the United States. It is complex and common. Some people take medicines like Benzodiazepines and Xanax for their social anxiety. These medicines only turn them into dummies, though. Benzodiazepines and Xanax also cause both tolerance and dependence.

Soon, the healing properties of the drugs don’t occur in the people anymore. But the people still continue to use them because they have become addicted to Benzodiazepines and Xanax. Fortunately for you, there are alternatives to these infamous drugs: nootropics.

Here are the top five nootropics for your social anxiety

Phenibut

Phenibut is often confused with benzodiazepines, but Phenibut binds GABA (B) receptors only. Benzodiazepines enhance GABA (A) receptors also. Benzodiazepines make you drowsy. GABA lowers brain activity. The activation of GABA receptors lessens anxiety. You’re supposed to take Phenibut for 2 days per week only.

L-theanine

L-theanine is trusted by many people because it has mild side effects. It reduces tension and anxiety. It increases almost all the elements in your brain that make you happy, such as dopamine and serotonin. You must know that L-theanine has no effects on some people, though. Try if it works for you. If it doesn’t, find some other nootropic. This is one of the drugs in Peak Nootropics for treating social anxiety.

Magnesium L-threonate

Magnesium is an essential part of the nervous system. It protects the brain, and it keeps you from panicking. Taking magnesium helps you relax and get rid of anxiety.

Tianeptine sodium

Tianeptine is an antidepressant. It brightens your mood. It also repairs the parts of your brain that have been damaged by depression. Depression actually causes some parts of your brain to disintegrate. That’s why you tend to forget your old solutions to certain problems when you are feeling extremely depressed. Tianeptine is the more socially accepted version of Phenibut, although it isn’t as good as Phenibut. Be warned that this nootropic can get addictive if taken at high doses.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is an herb that protects your brain. It lessens stress and removes both your anxiety and insomnia. It is one of the cheapest nootropics and belongs to the Ayurveda medicines. Ayurveda medicines are an ancient set of medicines from India whose healing properties are still gaining believers these days. You have to take it every day for a whole month before it takes effect, though.

Nootropics are still drugs. They still have side effects. A lot of them lessen your mental sharpness just to make you more relaxed during social situations. This is why a lot of people live with their social anxiety without taking any form of medicine to fix the disorder.

A smaller number of these people turn to meditation to lessen their social anxiety. Meditation works, but only after a long time of practice. You can choose which group to join: the people who take Benzodiazepines, the people who do not take any medicine at all, or the people who meditate.

Dealing with anxiety could be quite a hassle without the right information. With nootropics, I believe one can get better regarding anxiety, but I’m a bit worried about the set of individuals who can rely on nootropics. Is it good for people who are allergic to some of these elements?

This truly could be a very helpful solution to social anxiety. I have known Ashwagandha for a while now to be a useful herb in getting over anxiety. However, with all these, how long can one begin to start seeing a significant change in such a person suffering from this?

  3. >Phenibut is often confused with benzodiazepines

Well, that’s because it more or less is a benzo itself… and that being said, be very careful with this stuff. Benzos are no joke and nothing to take lightly. Look up benzodiazepene withdrawal and you’ll see what I mean.

  4. Great post! I am an extreme introvert and have a very bad social anxiety problem that I was to fix. I was wondering if nootropics are safe to take?

    • Seems your website link goes to a nootropics site that has lots of great information. I’m sure you’re already on top of this, and yes it’s safe as long as it doesn’t mix with any current medications you may be taking.

  5. Phenibut indeed gets the job done. There are a few others such as Brahmi, Lavender tea and Holy Basil which are great for anxiety, though.
Modafinil often gives me social anxiety and some extra supplements are more than welcome.
