    I am currently suffering from GAD (or as I like to call it ”learning from” in the amount of optimism I managed to keep). I can honestly say that Ashwagandha works better than any herb/medication I have ever tried without the nasty withdrawal symptoms/side effects. I use the Optimized Ashwagandha from the LifeExtension brand (big fan of this brand). I take one on an empty stomach upon waking up before doing my breathing exercises and writing in my diary and another one at 5 PM so I can have a manageable and even pleasant second half of the day.
    I should note that it isn’t a structural solution to GAD. It’s best used in combination with CBT or the End the Anxiety program.
